Halle Berry has been spotted buying $1,000 worth of baby clothes, sparking rumors she is pregnant.
“The Perfect Stranger” actress reportedly spent an hour browsing at trendy Los Angeles baby boutique Bel-Bambini before purchasing a selection of items for a baby girl.
Halle-40 who is dating 31-year-old model Gabriel Aubry left the exclusive shop with a pink, organic romper-suit, a kimono tee made from soybean fibers, a cute butterfly backpack and a Swarovski crystal-encrusted hotlips pacifier.
The Oscar-winning star who has made no secret of her desire to have a baby recently set herself a deadline to get pregnant by the end of the year.
She revealed: ”Having children is my next big project. I’m planning on becoming pregnant by the end of the year.”
The actress is not scared of the prospect of adopting a baby. She says that she and her boyfriend are prepared to adopt if they are unable to conceive naturally: “If it can’t happen naturally, Gabriel and I will adopt.”
Halle has told reporters she wants to conceive before she turned 40 last August.
She told US chat show Oprah Winfrey: ”If there’s no serious man in my life when I get to that age, whoever I’m dating at that time, I’ll say - Hey I would like to have a baby.”
Well, as it looks Halle’s wish may come true very soon.

Yes, I can see the very softly, feminine vial of Halle-aroma on the department store counters. I must admit, I loved Mariah’s fun delicious smelling fragrance and I am expecting something classy from Halle. My recommended fragrance names: H., H. Berry, Halle, Halle Berry
Well, according to Women’s Wear Daily, Halle Berry is the latest celebrity to join the Coty Inc. fragrance portfolio of famous people such as: David and Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kimora Lee Simmons, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Kate Moss and Tim McGraw.
Berry’s fragrance products are due to launch globally next year in 2009, and while there is no confirmed report of how she stands to make from the deal, industry insiders reveal that a celebrity deal such as this one usually commands a $3-5 million upfront advance with royalties of 5 percent. The products will first be launched in midtier department stores such as JC Penney, then branch out to the mass market.
Berry in reportedly still under contract with Revlon, and her deal reportedly took the Revlon president and chief executive officer, David Kennedy by surprise. He responded to inquiries, "I am not aware of it. She is under contract with Revlon and she's under contract with us for some time."
And to think. I remember back in the 70s when Coty was that stinky smelling brand that would sit on the shelf but you’d still test it every now and then to see if the scent changed. They must be doing something right.
All I know is, it is going to be Berry, Berry sweet.
